Aikido for Adults
Discipline and proper guidance are critical elements to achieving personal growth. At Seishinjuku Dojo, we take on the responsibility of supporting our students' natural development and encouraging them to reach their individual goals throughout their Aikido journey. Our experienced instructors, who are high-ranking students of Haruo Matsuoka Sensei, lead multiple classes throughout the week. With one fixed monthly fee, students are free to attend as many classes as they wish, according to their level of experience.

Aikido for Kids
Kids classes at Seishinjuku Dojo are tailored to children aged 6-16. Our classes are held on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm for mixed ages, and on Saturdays from 9:30-10:30 am. Our experienced instructors are patient, encouraging, and inspire discipline and respect. We strive to create an environment that is both fun and engaging while providing structure and discipline. Children are encouraged to focus on their training while respectfully challenging and supporting one another.

Weapons
At Seishinjuku Dojo, we believe that weapons training is an essential component of Aikido practice, as it helps martial artists develop a deeper understanding of empty-handed techniques. In our weapons classes, students will learn foundational forms and exercises that aid in maintaining proper distance, rhythm, timing, and power delivery methods. As students progress, they will engage in partnered practices that further enhance their skills and deepen their understanding of Aikido. Matsuoka Sensei will personally guide and support students throughout their weapons training, maximizing the efficiency of training for each student.
Prerequisite: 5th kyu white belt Aikido students of Seishinjuku Dojo

Tests are a crucial aspect of the learning journey for Aikido students at Seishinjuku Dojo, serving as important milestones for assessing progress and examining the effectiveness of their training approach. More than just a demonstration of physical skills, tests are also a valuable opportunity for self-reflection and testing one's mental fortitude and conviction. Our instructors provide detailed feedback on each student's performance and work closely with them to develop a clear understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring that they continue to progress and reach their full potential.

If you're interested in learning more about Seishinjuku Dojo, we invite you to come and try a few classes for free. Please wear comfortable sportswear, and we recommend wearing long pants. We look forward to having you train with us!
We welcome visitors from other dojos who are interested in training with us. You are invited to join us during any scheduled class and bring your Aikikai passport if you have one. We look forward to meeting you and training together.
